Made these beautiful and squishy brownies to serve up for the Superbowl. We had Uncles T & B and Auntie M over for tacos and treats. These were my favorite part. Uncle T liked them too. He said that they were like the brownies you get in ice cream. They are gooey and rich and the corners are chewy and Oh Man I wish I had more.
Here is the best part of the whole thing, IT’S A BOX MIX! Here’s what you need:
That’s one box of {family size} brownie mix (prepared according to package directions), one can of sweetened condensed milk, and 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
First, spray a 9×9 pan with cooking spray and pre-heat the oven to 325 (if using a 9×13 heat oven to 350).
Prepare your brownie mix as directed on the box (mine was eggs, water, veg.oil).
Add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to the batter:
Mix. Then add about 1/2 the can of sweetened condensed milk to the batter.
Mix and pour into the prepared pan. Next, we are going to sprinkle (yes. sprinkle.) the remaining 1/2 cup of chips on top. Then drizzle (no need for pretty or perfect here) the remaining sweetened condensed milk over that.
See, far from perfect. Now, swirl those toppings gently on top of the batter. Swirl!
Toss into the oven and bake for about 45 minutes (do the toothpick trick: if it comes out {mostly}clean, the brownies are done). This is the hardest part. Your kitchen will smell amazing.
Yum. I tried to let it cool, but I couldn’t.
I serve them dusted with confectioners’ sugar and cut into 1″ squares {ish} (see top picture).
How EASY is that!?! I love how the sweetened condensed milk makes the brownies similar to those molten lava cakes in the middle but it makes the edges chewy and caramel-y tasting. Adding chocolate chips to the boxed brownie batter always makes it better. I hope you all give this a shot! Enjoy!!
*Let me just say that I love my brownies under-cooked, so these gooey treats really hit the spot. I could have let them bake longer.

YUM!
