you all have heard about what happens to a bar of Ivory soap when you put it into the microwave, right?
IT’S AWESOME. that bar of soap blows up marshmallow-style to like 6x its original size!
i received a bar free from Influenster, in my Mom VoxBox and will be doing a review in the near future.
so put your bar on a microwave safe plate, take the turntable out of the microwave (i didn’t but wished i would have), turn on the microwave for maybe 3 minutes AND WATCH THE MAGIC.
after the soap has cooled, you can take the puffy cloud out and tear it apart or mold it or squish into the bathtub like snow! it isn’t wet or too messy, but it does kind of fall apart so you will have a dusting wherever you end up playing.
we did all of the above….
i kept some of the bigger hunks aside for myself. next time, i will prolly cut the bar into 3rds for this before they get nuked. that way, not so much will get wasted (we totally put the whole thing in the tub- WAY TOO MUCH!!) it was so much fun though. we will definitely be doing it again!
what i like about this soap is how simple and pure it is. my child and i have super sensitive skin. she breaks out in hives all the time and DID NOT with this soap! yeah! Ivory was very nice to my skin but i don’t like shaving with it. it catches the razor too much.
did you know that you could use Ivory for your laundry? OH YEAH YOU CAN – for all of you other sensitive kids out there, this is a huge plus!
it’s really easy too! here’s a link to a really great DIY – instead of using the Fels Naptha, you will use a bar of ivory and I promise you LOADS and LOADS of lovely clean clothes that will NOT irritate your skin!
PLUS, you guys – IVORY is AFFORDABLE! you can get a 10 pack of bars for under $5 – hello!
I received this bar of Ivory complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster. The opinions are my own.
